How to clone your own voice for voiceovers
A cloned voice lets you narrate a video at midnight without setting up a microphone, and keeps every video in the same voice even when the script changes at the last minute.
You record one clear sample, AmmarAI builds the clone, and from then on it sits alongside the standard voices whenever you generate a voiceover.
When to use this
- You narrate your own videos and want a consistent sound without re-recording.
- Scripts change often and re-recording every tweak is not realistic.
- You want your voice, in your language, reading material you wrote.
Record a usable sample
Record at least a minute of speech
Read naturally for a minute or more in a quiet room, at your normal pace. Avoid music, background chatter and heavy room echo — the clone copies whatever it hears.
Keep it to one speaker
Only your voice should be in the recording. A second person in the background makes the clone sound uneven.
Create the clone and use it
Open the voice cloning area
Go to AI Voiceover & Voice Clone from the left-hand menu and choose to add a new cloned voice.
Upload the recording and name the voice
Upload your audio file and give the voice a name you will recognise later, such as your own name or the brand it belongs to. Save to start the cloning process.
Pick it when you generate a voiceover
Once processing finishes, the cloned voice appears in the voice list, usually at the top. Select it, paste your script and generate as you would with any other voice.
Direct the delivery
Adjust pace, emphasis and pauses on individual lines until it sounds like you reading, not you being read out.
